Indian stock markets surge, Sensex-Nifty opens at all-time high

The Indian stock market has opened with gains today i.e. on Tuesday, July 2. In today's trading, the BSE Sensex opened 199 points higher at 79,675. At the same time, the NSE Nifty has crossed the level of 24,200 with a gain of 61 points. However, even after the market opened throughout the day, the Sensex and Nifty opened at new all-time highs.

Pre-opening session markets

The Bombay Stock Exchange's 30-share Sensex touched the 80,000 mark for the first time in the pre-opening session, creating market history. The Sensex touched this figure with a jump of more than 300 points in the pre-open. However, the Sensex reached 80,129 at 9.02 pm in the pre-open market.

Market capitalization of BSE

The market cap of BSE has come to Rs 443.14 lakh crore today. If seen in US dollars, the total market cap of the shares listed on BSE has reached $ 5.31 trillion.

Sensex Stock Status

Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 13 stocks rose while 17 fell. Power Grid was the top gainer, climbing 0.91 percent. Infosys rose 0.88 percent, TCS 0.63 percent, HCL Tech 0.61 percent, Bharti Airtel 0.44 percent and L&T 0.38 percent. The losers included Kotak Mahindra Bank, down 1.94 percent, Bajaj Finance, down 1.83 percent, Tata Motors, down 1.59 percent, Axis Bank, down 1.39 percent and ICICI Bank, down 1.28 percent.
