Indian stock markets fall, Sensex-Nifty fall after opening at high level

On the fourth day of the week i.e. Thursday (27 June), the Indian stock market opened with a decline. The BSE Sensex today opened down 80.19 points or 0.10% at 78,594.06. While the NSE Nifty opened down 23.15 points or 0.097% at 23,845.65.

The market witnessed a great rally in the pre-opening session. Sensex and Nifty opened at higher levels. But as soon as the market opened, the market slipped into the red zone of bearishness. India's VIX rose one percent and cement stocks are seeing a rise today.

Sensex made a new record

The BSE Sensex also hit a new high of 78,771.64 today and hit a high of 78,759.40 yesterday. The market was trading in a limited range since morning. If we look at the Sensex stocks, out of its 30 stocks, 12 stocks are trading on the rise and 18 stocks are trading on the decline. UltraTech Cement has topped the market due to its big cement deal followed by JSW Steel.

Market capitalization of BSE

At the time of market opening, the market cap of shares listed on BSE was Rs. 437.02 lakh crore, but within half an hour of opening, it fell to Rs. 438.46 lakh crore.
