The Indian stock market has started flat today. Nifty and Sensex saw flat trading. Bank Nifty saw a slight increase. In Nifty today, except Nifty IT Index and Nifty Realty Index, all other indexes were seen trading in the red mark.
The BSE Sensex started trading 35 points down today. Nifty also opened with a decline of more than 22 points. However, within a few minutes the market turned green again. At 9.20 am, the Sensex was up about 100 points at 78,150 points. However, the Nifty was almost stable near 23,720 points.
Pre-open market
Today, there were signs of pressure on the market. In the pre-open session before the market opened, the BSE Sensex was seen up by 40 points, while the Nifty remained almost flat. On the other hand, the GIFT Nifty fell by about 30 points and closed at 23,700 points.
This record was made a day earlier
Earlier on Tuesday, the market reached a new record high. After the close of trading on Tuesday, the BSE Sensex closed at 78,053.52 points with a strong jump of 712.45 points (0.92%). This is the first time that the Sensex has closed above 78 thousand points. Earlier, during trading, the Sensex also reached a new all-time high of 78,164.71 points.
While the NSE's Nifty 50 index closed at 23,721.30 points on Tuesday, up 183.45 points (0.78%). During trading, the Nifty 50 index reached 23,754.15 points, which is now its new all-time high.
Mixed trend in foreign markets
A mixed trend is being seen in Asian markets today. Japan's Nikkei is down 0.26 percent while South Korea's Kospi is down 0.38 percent. The Topix index is also down 0.17 percent. While Kosdaq is strong by 0.38 percent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng is showing early signs of loss. Earlier on Tuesday, the US markets were mixed. While the Nasdaq rose 1.26 percent, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.76 percent. The S&P500 index rose 0.39 percent.
Position of big stocks in early trade
In today's early session, about half of the major stocks are in profit and half in loss. In the morning, UltraTech Cement registered the highest gain of 1.5 percent. ICICI Bank shares also remained strong by more than 1 percent. On the other hand, HDFC Bank saw the maximum decline of 1 percent. In early trade today, pressure was seen on IT stocks like Infosys and TCS.
