Huge fluctuations were seen in the Indian stock market in the last trading session of the week. After a gap of a day, midcap stocks fell again. However, the index of small cap shares has seen an increase. The stock market closed with selling in banking, auto and energy stocks. At the end of today's trading, BSE Sensex fell 453 points to close at 72,643 points and National Stock Exchange's Nifty fell 123 points to close at 22,023 points.
There was a rise in the market yesterday
Earlier yesterday i.e. on March 14, there was a surge in the stock market. Sensex closed 335 points higher at 73,097. Nifty also saw a jump of 148 points. It closed at the level of 22,146.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 18 rose and 12 declined. The smallcap index closed 1,265 points higher at 41,907. A rise of 855 points was seen in the midcap index. It closed at 38,250.
