Indian stock market closed with gains, Sensex up 145 points

The Indian stock market closed in the green zone today i.e. on Monday 15 July. The market started off well in the morning with a gain of more than 200 points. During trading, it touched the level of 24,635. However, after this it declined slightly and closed at 24,586, up 84 points.

Along with this, the Sensex also rose by 145 points. It closed at 80,664. Banking, energy and auto stocks remained high today. Earlier on Friday, July 12, the stock market had reached its all-time high.

The market made an all-time high on Friday

Earlier last week on Friday (July 12), the stock market reached an all-time high. The Sensex reached an all-time high of 80,893 and the Nifty an all-time high of 24,592. However, later the market closed slightly below the record high and the Sensex closed 622 points higher at 80,519 and the Nifty closed 186 points higher at 24,502.
