Today, on 7 June, i.e. the last day of trading, Friday, the Indian stock market closed in the green zone. The market opened in the green zone in the morning as well. The Sensex rose 1720 points to a new high of 76,795 points, breaking the record high of 3 June.
Nifty also remained a little away from touching its old historical high. Due to strong buying in IT, auto and consumer durables sector, BSE Sensex rose 1532 points to close at 76,606 and National Stock Exchange's Nifty rose 446 points to close at 23,267. All 30 stocks of Sensex are in a rise. Today IT and auto stocks saw the biggest rise.
The market saw a rise yesterday
Earlier yesterday, on June 6, the Sensex closed at 75,074 with a gain of 692 points. Nifty also saw a gain of 201 points. It closed at 22,821. The midcap index rose by 2.28% and the smallcap index rose by 3.06%.
