The Indian stock market closed in the green zone today i.e. Thursday, August 01. The market opened with a gain of 300 points in the morning. Nifty managed to cross the highest level of 25 thousand for the first time. At the same time, the BSE Sensex also crossed the 82,000 mark and reached an all-time high of 82,129.49. The credit for this surge in the market goes to the shares of the energy sector. Heavy buying is being seen in the shares of government companies like Coal India, ONGC Power Grid.
At the end of today's trading, Nifty rose 640 points to close above 25,000 at 25,011 points, while Sensex closed with a gain of 126 points at 81,867 points.

Earlier, yesterday i.e. on Wednesday, there was a boom in the stock market. Sensex closed 285 points higher at 81,741. Nifty also saw a rise of 93 points. It closed at 24,951.
