These include doubling of Fariha-Azamgarh-Sathianv railway section with electrified line, doubling of Indara-Phefna railway section with electrified line, doubling of Banaras-Jhunsi railway section with electrified line, doubling of Ballia-Bakulhan railway section with electrified line. The Prime Minister also dedicated the Bhatni-Pivkol bypass line to the nation, which will eliminate the problem of turning the engine at Bhatni and connecting it to the coaches on the other side and will also enable uninterrupted operation of trains. In the program, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of gauge conversion of the railway section named Bahraich-Nanpara-Nepalganj Road and also inaugurated the new big railway line from Ghazipur City and Ghazipur Ghat to Tadighat along with the newly constructed rail-cum-road bridge on the river Ganga. The Prime Minister also flagged off special train No. 05481 from Ghazipur City through video conferencing from Azamgarh.
According to railway officials, these projects will strengthen the infrastructure of Indian Railways in Uttar Pradesh. After the inauguration of the new broad line from Ghazipur City and Ghazipur Ghat to Tadighat along with the rail bridge on river Ganga, the distance from Ghazipur City Station to Dildar Nagar Junction Station via Varanasi is 146 km. Which has reduced to 29 km after the construction of this new railway line. Similarly, the distance from Ghazipur City station to Patna has also reduced by 24 km. With the construction of this railway line, along with reducing the physical distance, there will be significant savings in the movement time of trains and trains coming from Chhapra and Aurihar will get connectivity to go on the dedicated freight corridor. According to officials, keeping in mind the smooth and uninterrupted movement of trains, a Y connection has been made here, due to which there will be no need for engine reversal. Trains coming from Chhapra will go directly to Tadighat from Ghazipur Ghat. Similarly, trains coming from Varanasi and Jaunpur will be able to go directly to Tadighat from Ghazipur City. With this, an alternative rail route has become available from the cities of North India including Gorakhpur, Varanasi to the cities of Eastern India including Patna, Kolkata. Establishment of rail link between Ghazipur-Tarighat will give impetus to the economic, social and cultural development of the area.

There are Banaras, Bhulanpur, Hardattpur, Rajatalab, Baherwa, Nigatpur, Kachhwa Road, Katka, Madho Singh, Ahimanpur, Almau, Gyanpur Road, Sarai Jagdish, Jangiganj, Atraura, Bhiti, Handia Khas, Saidabad, Ramnathpur and Jhusi stations on this section. After the inauguration of Bhatni-Pivkol bypass line, the problem of engine reversal at Bhatni Junction for trains coming from Varanasi to Chapra and Siwan and trains coming from Chapra to Varanasi has ended. Smooth operation of trains is being done through the bypass without changing the direction of the engine. Due to the construction of this bypass line, the line capacity has increased and movement of more trains has become possible.
