I am confident that my visits will further strengthen our partnership with Brunei, Singapore and the larger ASEAN region.” Singapore is India's largest trading partner in Southeast Asian ASEAN and is also a major source of foreign direct investment.

PM Modi's visit to Brunei is important in terms of defense cooperation between the two countries. Both countries want to establish a joint working group on defense cooperation.
