On social media, people openly express their good and bad opinions about anything. Now, if someone is hurt by it, a debate erupts online and social media users are divided on the issue. An Australian YouTuber recently faced similar controversy and criticism over a post on Twitter.
It all started when a man posted a picture of a thali of Indian food on Instagram and captioned it, 'Indian food is the best on earth. Fight me on this if you want.' On this man's post, Dr. Sydney Watson wrote, 'No, absolutely not.' In the next post, she wrote, 'If you have to add dirty spices to your food to make it edible, then your food is not good.'
People gave this reaction on Indian food
Not only Indians but foreigners also attacked Sydney on this post and said that we do not agree with you. People criticized it a lot in the comments. Someone wrote, 'Sydney has no taste buds so don't blame her.' One wrote – 'Who cares? You deserve to eat only boiled potatoes, we eat our delicious food. One user wrote, 'In India you will find 5 thousand types of dishes whereas in western countries you will hardly find 10.'
One wrote, “Who knows how many delicious dishes this 'dirty spice' has fed the world.” Another merrily wrote that European countries were fighting to control the spice trade in India. A user said, “Indian food is a celebration of culture, tradition and love. If you don't like it, it's your loss.”
