Scored a triple century in Ranji Trophy

Goa batsman Snehal Kothankar scored a triple century against Arunachal Pradesh in Ranji Trophy 2024-25. He achieved this feat in 205 balls in the Plate Division match. With this, Snehal Kothankar scored the third fastest triple century in first-class cricket. He broke Virender Sehwag’s record of a triple century in 278 balls in the Chennai Test against South Africa in 2007/08.

Snehal scored the fourth fastest double century

Snehal was fielded to bat at number four. He made a partnership of 577 runs for the third wicket with Kashyap Buckley. Bakale also dates back to the third century. He has scored 280 runs so far. Earlier, Snehal had scored a double century in 146 balls against Arunachal. This was the fourth fastest double century in Ranji Trophy history. 29 year old Kothankar had scored a double century in the last match. After this he played an inning of 250 runs against Mizoram.

Kothankar also made a record in partnership

Buckley and Kothankar have made a partnership of 577 runs so far, which is the joint second highest partnership in Ranji Trophy history. This equaled the partnership of Vijay Hazare and Gul Mohammad in 1946–47. This record is in the name of Maharashtra’s Swapnil Sugle and Ankit Bawne, who made a partnership of 594 runs against Delhi in 2016-17.
