Women's Asia Cup T20 2024, INDW vs PAKW : India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the Women's Asia Cup T20 match. Team India, led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur, has won by seven wickets. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first. Meanwhile, the Pakistan team was all out for 108 runs. In response, India won due to the strong batting of Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma. Deepti Sharma took the maximum three wickets for India. India achieved this target in just 14.1 overs. This was the first match of the Indian team in the Women's Asia Cup 2024.
Strong performance by Shefali-Mandhana
Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma came to open for the Indian team chasing the target given by Pakistan. Both gave a good start to India. Mandhana scored 45 runs with the help of nine fours in 31 balls and Shefali scored 40 runs with the help of six fours and one six in 29 balls. Dayalan Hamalta was out after scoring 14 runs. After this Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten after scoring five runs and Jemima remained unbeaten after scoring three runs.
Pakistan team was all out for 108 runs
India bowled out Pakistan for 108 runs. From Pakistan's side, Amin scored the highest 25 runs in 35 balls. Fatima Sana played an unbeaten innings of 22 runs in 16 balls with the help of one six and two fours. Hasan scored 22 runs in 19 balls with the help of three fours. All the other players performed poorly.
Deepti gets three wickets
In today's match, Indian bowler Deepti Sharma bowled very well. She took three wickets for 20 runs in four overs. Deepti bowled out Pakistan captain Nidan for just eight runs, while Hasan was bowled out for 22 runs. Renuka Singh, Shreyanka Patil and Pooja lost 2-2 wickets from India's side.
