Pinaka Rocket Launcher System: India on Thursday once again successfully tested the Pinaka Rocket Launcher System with great success. During these tests, the rockets were extensively tested to assess Provisional Staff Qualitative Requirement (PSQR) parameters such as ranging, accuracy, stability and hit rate on multiple targets in salvo mode, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
12 rockets were tested

DRDO has successfully completed the Pinaka Guided Rocket Launcher System as part of the PSQR validation test. The Defense Ministry confirmed that a total of twelve rockets were test fired from two in-service Pinaka launchers upgraded by launcher manufacturing agencies.

What is Pinaka Rocket?

Pinaka rocket system will be destroyed for the enemy in time. Its firepower has increased significantly. Now it will be able to hit targets accurately from a range of 25 meters to a distance of 75 km. Its speed is 1000-1200 meters per second i.e. one kilometer per second. Once fired it is impossible to stop. Earlier the strike range of Pinaka was 38 kilometers, which will now be increased to 75 kilometers. Its accuracy has also been significantly improved.

this is the specialty

The Pinaka multi-barrel rocket system consists of two pods, with six launch vehicles per battery.

It can fire all 12 rockets in salvo mode in just 44 seconds i.e. one rocket every 4 seconds.

Its loader system, radar and network based systems are linked to a command post.

At present there are two types. The range of the first Mark is 40 km and the range of the second Mark-II is 75 km.

Army strength will increase

Flight trials were conducted in three phases at various field firing ranges. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh praised DRDO and the Indian Army for the successful trials and said the induction of the Guided Pinaka rocket system will increase the artillery firepower of the armed forces.

France and Armenia showed interest

The Pinaka rocket launcher is considered equivalent to the US’s HIMARS system and has been India’s first major defense export. However, belligerent Armenia gave us the first order. Now France has also shown interest in this rocket system.

Concern about China-Pakistan will increase!

Pinaka rocket launcher is already being used by the Indian Army. It has been deployed on the border of Pakistan and China. Its increasing capacity will now increase the uneasiness of both the countries.
