India has set a great example of strong friendship with the country of Iran. Iran first announced a day of political mourning on May 21 after the death of President Ibrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash and later sent the country's Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar to the Iranian capital Tehran on Wednesday. Jagdeep Dhankhar paid tribute to the death of Foreign Minister Hussain Abdullahian, Ibrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash on Wednesday and also met Iran's Acting President Mohammad Mokhbar.
In the official final act, Vice President Dhankhar, who led the Indian delegation, paid tributes to the late President, Foreign Minister and other officials. A day of political mourning was declared in India on Tuesday to mark the death of Raisi. The Vice President's office posted on the official handle of the social media platform.

In another post on 'X', the Ministry of External Affairs also said, “Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar met the Acting President of Iran Dr. Mohammad Mokhbar in Tehran today. He was welcomed by Iranian officials leading the Indian delegation in the afternoon. President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attended the meeting. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited the Iranian Embassy in New Delhi on Tuesday and expressed condolences on the tragic situation in Iran.
The funeral prayer for the country's late president, foreign minister and those killed in the tragedy was presided over by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday. Thousands of people attended it. Many world leaders were in Tehran at the moment to attend the official funeral ceremony.
