New Delhi, 31 October (Hindustan Reporter). India will host Malaysia in a friendly match at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad on November 18 during the FIFA window. All India Football Federation (AIFF) made the above announcement on Wednesday.
Earlier this match was to be held on 19 November. Malaysia is currently ranked 133rd in the FIFA rankings, while India is ranked 125th. The last time both the teams met in the Merdeka Cup semi-finals was in October 2023, in which the Indian team had to face defeat 4-2.
Hyderabad's Gachibowli Stadium also hosted the Intercontinental Cup in September, where India played a goalless draw against Mauritius and then lost 0-3 to Syria.
Manolo Marquez's team last played on 12 October, where they drew 1–1 in Vietnam.
