Army and Air Force will get 8-8 drones
Out of these 31 Predator drones, the Indian Navy is likely to get 15 drones. Which will be 'Sea Guardian'. While the Army and Air Force will get 8-8 'Sky Guardian' Predator drones. The drone deal has been made with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems (GA-ASI) of America under the Foreign Military Sales Agreement between the Government of India and the United States.
Army strength will increase

In addition, the MQ-9B 'Hunter Killer' drones are being purchased through Foreign Military Sales with General Atomics of the US at a cost of approximately US$3.1 billion.
