Under the National Avishkar Abhiyan, the exposure visit of 100 children selected at the block level from Development Block-Kuthond, District-Jalaun was completed at National Sugar Institute (NSI), Kanpur. This excursion program was conducted after approval by the Ministry of Science and Technology for 100 excellent children selected in the quiz competition at the block level under the National Invention Campaign.

Addressing the students on this occasion, the Director of the Institute, Prof. D. Swain said that I am proud to say that today India is close to standing in the category of developed nations on the international stage not only in the field of strategy but also in the field of science and technology. This greatest achievement has been possible only as a result of the tireless and continuous efforts of our talented scientists. Today's children will be the responsible citizens and scientists of tomorrow, hence it is the sacred responsibility of all of us to make them visit institutions of national importance from time to time and give them meaningful information about them. Only when curiosity and desire arise in the minds of children will they be committed to doing something new. This commitment will place them at the forefront of any field.

Head of the Department of Biochemistry of the Institute, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Paroha, Acharya Biochemistry, while taking a tour of various laboratories equipped with advanced and modern equipment and grain based distillery located in the department, addressed various issues arising in the minds of the students.
