New Delhi, 03 December (HS). The India International Science Festival, which was going on for the last four days at IIT Guwahati, concluded successfully on Tuesday. In this festival, emphasis was laid on promoting innovation to make the country a developed India by 2047 along with making India a manufacturing hub. Assam’s Science, Technology and Climate Change Minister Keshav Mahanata was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony held on Tuesday. On this occasion, CSIR Director General Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Dr. C. Anandadharmakrishnan, Director of CSIR-NIIST, Thiruvananthapuram, P.A., Secretary General of Vigyan Bharati. Many eminent personalities from India’s science and technology ecosystem were present, including Vivekendra Pai.
Speaking at the event, Chief Guest Keshav Mahant said that IISF 2024 has indeed been a remarkable celebration of India’s scientific achievements, underscoring the vital role of science and technology in shaping our future. Over the last four days we have witnessed an inspiring display of innovation, collaboration and knowledge-sharing, with participants from all walks of life coming together to explore the transformative power of science. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Science and Technology as well as all the partners. He said that Assam is honored to host such an important event, and we are committed to it.
