India beats Sri Lanka, Pallekele – 2024

India's most ridiculous Super Over win came on July 31 at Pallekele, when Suryakumar Yadav led India to a thrilling win over Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka were chasing 138 runs to win and at one stage the score was 110/1. In the 17th over, Washington Sundar took two wickets in one over, but with six wickets remaining, Sri Lanka looked certain to win the match. Then came the turning point for India, with several part-time bowlers bowling and taking wickets.

Rinku Singh bowled the 19th over for Sri Lanka, in which nine runs were needed from 12 balls. He took two wickets in this over, including the wicket of Kusal Perera (46). Rinku created panic in the Sri Lankan camp by giving only three runs in the over. The host team needed six runs in the last over and when everyone expected Mohammad Siraj to bowl the last over, Suryakumar came to bowl. He also took two wickets and pushed India into the super over.

In the super over, Washington Sundar took two wickets in three balls and the Sri Lankan team was all out for just two runs. India achieved the target in one ball by hitting a four on the first ball of captain Suryakumar.

India beats Afghanistan, Bengaluru – 2024

On 17 January 2024, the Indian men's team played a thrilling match against Afghanistan at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Batting first, India were 22/4, but an unbeaten 190-run partnership between Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh brought India back into the game and India scored 212/4. Afghanistan had a difficult target in front of them, but they started well and then played well in the overs between the efforts of Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib. This was the third T20I of the five-match series against New Zealand in Hamilton, with both teams scoring 179 runs in their 20 overs. For the Indians, Rohit Sharma played a brilliant innings of 65 runs in the first innings followed by good bowling from Shardul Thakur (2/21) and Ravindra Jadeja (1/23) which helped Kane Williamson hit 95 runs off 48 balls.
