After Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s half-century, Chetan Sharma’s three wickets helped India defeat Sri Lanka by seven wickets with 170 balls remaining in the first semi-final. With this, the Indian team reached the final of the Under-19 Asia Cup, where it will face Bangladesh, which defeated Pakistan in the second semi-final. The Sri Lankan team was all out for 173 runs. Against which India won the match by scoring 175 runs for three wickets in 21.4 overs.
Ayush Mahatre (34) and Vaibhav made the target easy for India by making a partnership of 91 runs for the first wicket. Vaibhav scored 67 runs in 36 balls with the help of six fours and five sixes. We contributed 25 runs. In the middle order of Sri Lanka’s innings, Lakwin Abhesingh scored 69 runs and Sharjun scored 42 runs, taking the team to a respectable score. Kiran Charmole and Mahatre lost two wickets each for India.
Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the final
Bangladesh has performed brilliantly and entered the final of Under-19 Asia Cup by defeating Pakistan by seven wickets. Pakistan’s innings ended on the score of 116 runs. Against which Bangladesh won the match by scoring 120 runs for three wickets with 167 balls remaining. Bangladesh had a bad start while chasing the target and lost two wickets till the score of 28. Captain Azizul Hakim led the team to victory by scoring a half-century.
