Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has responded to China's claim on Arunachal Pradesh. He termed China's claim on Arunachal Pradesh as absurd and ridiculous and said that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India. Now China has also reacted to this statement of Jaishankar.

Addressing the prestigious Institute of South Asia Studies of the National University of Singapore in Singapore, Jaishankar said, this is not a new thing. China has always been making such claims. These claims were nonsense then and are nonsense today too.

Jaishankar, who reached Singapore on a three-day visit, said that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India. We are very clear about this. This will be part of the upcoming border talks.

What did China say?

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian's reaction to Jaishankar's statement has come to light. He said the border between China and India has never been delimited and is divided into Eastern Sector, Central Sector, Western Sector and Sikkim Sector. Zangnan in the eastern region has been the territory of China. This is a basic fact which cannot be denied.

China says India created Arunachal Pradesh in 1987 on illegally occupied Chinese territories. After this, China issued a statement strongly opposing it and said that this step of India is illegal and invalid. This will not change China's attitude.

America also shocked China regarding Arunachal

The US had recently said that it strongly opposes attempts to make territorial claims along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). America said that it considers Arunachal Pradesh as a part of India. We strongly condemn any unilateral attempt at infiltration or transgression by the Army or any civilian along the Line of Actual Control.

China had opposed PM Modi's visit to Arunachal

PM Modi recently visited Arunachal Pradesh. China had lodged a diplomatic protest against India regarding this visit. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said that this will further escalate the India-China border dispute. Wenbin said that India has no right to develop China's Zhangnan.

India also gave a befitting reply to this protest by China. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs said that Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will remain an integral and inseparable part of India.
