Kazan (Russia): Iranian President Masoud Pezemukian met Narendra Modi during the ongoing BRICS conference here. He appealed to Narendra Modi to make efforts to bring peace in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Narendra Modi expressed serious concern over the continuous intensification of war in the Middle East and said that there are issues, but they should be resolved not through war but through dialogue and diplomacy.

In the Israel-Hamas war that has been going on for more than a year, the situation in the Middle East became tense after Iran-backed group Hezbollah also joined the war in favor of Hamas. The situation has come to the verge of becoming explosive because Iran has also attacked Israel with ballistic missiles and Israel has decided to take revenge from Iran itself.

In such a situation, Iranian President Masoud Pazeshkian requested Narendra Modi to try to cool the fire and said that you have good relations with all the parties involved in this. So you can make meaningful efforts to establish peace there.

It is noteworthy that India can play a meaningful role. They are also trying to establish peace in the ongoing Russia-Russia-Ukraine war since 2022. Modi has good relations with both President Punit and President Zelensky.

In the last 3 months, Modi went to Russia twice, apart from this he also went to Ukraine.

It is also learned that last month Narendra Modi along with India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval had sent a peace plan to President Putin. With this, Iran hopes that Modi will be able to present a peace plan for the Middle East as well.

During the meeting between the two leaders here (in Kazan), discussions were held on strengthening India-Iran bilateral relations and establishing cooperation in many important areas including the development of Chabahar port in southeast Iran, International North South Transport Corridor. INSTC) was also discussed.
