New Delhi: Amid the Israel-Iran conflict, three Indian naval ships Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Veera, INS Shardul and INS Tir have reached Bandar Abbas, Iran. They have to conduct naval combat exercises with Iranian warships. The warship will also actually participate in a training mission in the Persian Gulf. When these warships reached Bandar Abbas, they were welcomed by the Iranian warship Jarrett.
Meanwhile, Iran's Ambassador to India Elahi said India has diplomatic relations with both the countries. Besides, there are good trade relations between the two countries. Therefore India can play the role of mediator between the two.
A statement issued by the Indian Navy said that the purpose of this visit is to increase maritime cooperation and mutual friendship between the two countries. Even before this, in February this year, when the Iranian warship Dena had come to India, it had participated in a naval meeting. An Iranian training warship visited India in March. At that time, nine Iranian soldiers accompanying the ship were also trained.
