India's opening captain Rohit Sharma was out after scoring just eight runs. However, then Virat Kohli scored 24 runs, Rishabh Pant scored 20 runs, Suryakumar Yadav scored 53 runs, Shivam Dubey scored 10 runs, Hardik Pandya scored 32 runs, Ravindra Jadeja scored 7 runs, Axar Patel scored 12 runs and Arshdeep Singh remained unbeaten on two runs. While bowling, Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh lost three wickets each, Kuldeep Yadav lost two and Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja lost one wicket each.
Afghanistan's Farooqi and Khan got three wickets each
Afghanistan's top-3 batsmen failed. Amatullah Amarzai scored 26, Najibullah Jardan scored 19, Gulbadin Naib scored 17 runs for the team, while all the other players failed. Talking about bowling, Fazal Haq Farooqi and Rashid Khan lost three wickets each, while Naveen-ul-Haq lost one wicket.
Afghanistan's top order flopped
Afghanistan had a bad start while chasing the target of 182 runs and Afghanistan's top batting order fell 3 wickets for 23 runs. In which Bumrah lost the wickets of both the opening and strong batsmen Gurbaz (11) and Hazratullah (2). However, after this Gulbadin (17), Umarzai (26) and Najibullah (19) who came in the middle order tried well to handle the innings, but Kuldeep Yadav and Bumrah did not let the batsmen stay on the pitch for long by taking wickets. After this, Afghanistan's wickets fell one after the other and India won by 47 runs by getting all out for 134 runs at the end of 20 overs.
