With our collaboration, we can prepare students for the AI ​​revolution and propel them toward global leadership. India and China have a unique opportunity to lead in the field of education through AI. These things were said by the President of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Vice Chancellor of CSJMU, Prof., on Monday in the 20th triennial conference of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) held in Beijing, China. On the third day on Monday, President of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Vice Chancellor of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak presented the transformative impact of AI on education. In this conference, he shared ideas on the topic 'AI' as a transformative force in education and how AI can give a new direction to the country through reform and innovation in India's education system. He explained how AI is enabling personalization of higher education in countries like India and China. He explained that AI-based adaptive learning platforms, such as machine learning algorithms, can create a personalized experience for students by understanding their learning styles. He also shared that at CSJMU, AI-powered systems have been implemented in engineering and PhD programmes, which have resulted in significant improvement in student engagement and academic performance.

Expanding access, quality education to every student

Pro. Pathak explained how the quality of education for students in remote and rural areas can be boosted through AI. He discussed AIU's initiatives to use speech-to-text and Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools that can provide linguistic translation and transcription services in real-time. He said that in a linguistically diverse country like India, providing education to students in their mother tongue through AI can also provide quality education to students in rural areas.

Expansion of AI in research and innovation

Pro. Pathak mentioned the supercomputing hub soon to be established at CSJMU, which will facilitate AI-based high-performance computing for researchers in biotechnology, bioinformatics and other areas. He also informed that AIU is collaborating in setting up AI innovation labs in other member universities, which will enable students and researchers to solve real-life problems using advanced technological tools.
