Maharashtra Voting 2024: Assembly elections are over in Maharashtra. Voting was completed on all 288 seats at 6 pm. The election results will be declared on 23 November. Voting took place peacefully on all the seats. However, an unpleasant incident took place at Beed assembly seat.
Independent candidate from Beed Balasaheb Shinde has passed away. It is being said that he lost his life due to a heart attack. Police has given more information in this matter.

Police said Balasaheb was waiting for his turn to vote at a polling booth on Wednesday. He suffered a heart attack while standing in line. Bala Saheb was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

After this the supporters took him to Chhatrapati Shambhaji Nagar Hospital. Doctors declared him dead. Police said that the body has been sent for post-mortem.
What will the Election Commission do?
According to the Representation of the People Act, if a candidate dies during the election, the voting for the concerned seat can be postponed under Section 52.
