Dhamtari, 6 November (HS). Tribal Pride Smriti Mahotsav program was organized at Bhopal Rao Government Polytechnic Dhamtari on 6 November. Keshkal MLA Neelkanth Tekam attended the program as the chief guest. The keynote speaker of the program was Dr. Girja Shankar Gautam, Assistant Professor of Hindi, Pandit Ravi Shankar University, Raipur. The program was presided over by the Principal of the institution, GR Sahu. Former Principal Lokendra Singh Thakur, Sarpanch Rudri Anita Yadav, Shivcharan Netam, Mayaram Nagvanshi and Sudarshan Thakur were present as special guests.

First of all, MLA Neelkanth Tekam observed the posters and beautiful rangolis made by the students of Polytechnic and encouraged the students. After this, the guests seated on the stage were welcomed by wearing yellow turban as per tribal culture. While giving the welcome speech, Principal GR Sahu gave information about the glorious past of the tribal society. Addressing the program, MLA Neelkanth Tekam said that Tribal Pride Day is being organized all over India. The country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is organizing this event with great thinking. The contribution of the tribes in India, whether we talk about the Mughal period, the tenure of the British, the warriors from the tribal class, the kings, maharajas and karmaveers. .They sacrificed their lives. This country got independence due to the bravery of the great men of the tribal society. But due to some reasons, due to the neglect of the previous governments, the tribal society did not get as much importance as it deserved. Keeping this in mind, a campaign for tribal pride has been started by Prime Minister Modi.

State President RN Dhruv said that as per the intention of the Government of India and the Government of Chhattisgarh, how to carry forward the culture, customs and traditions of the tribal society. How to remember the great men of tribal society who contributed to the independence of the country, hence Tribal Pride Memorial Mahotsav is being celebrated all over the country. On this occasion, RASSEO Program Officer Jaiprakash Dadsena, Amit Mishra, Head of Department Civil, Dr. Bhuvan Lal Dewangan, Staff members and students of Polytechnic and Government ITI Bhatgaon including Harshal Mohite, Vinod Sangode, Poonam Chand Kosare were present.
