Lucknow, August 15: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hoisted the flag at his official residence (5, Kalidas Marg) on Independence Day on Saturday. He paid homage to the national heroes and the warriors who were martyred for the country. The Chief Minister congratulated the people of the state on Independence Day. Said that independence does not only mean political freedom, but also complete freedom from anarchy, backwardness, poverty, illiteracy and inequality, due to which the country became continuously weak. We all have completed 79 years of independence and are associated with the 80th Independence Day programme. This day is not just giving us an opportunity to limit ourselves to celebrations, but is also inspiring us to do our duty as citizens in efforts towards achieving the goals of complete freedom. Calling upon every citizen, CM Yogi said that if independence is to be maintained for a long time, then not one person, caste, sect, but 140 crore Indians will have to contribute equally in their respective fields.
The aim of the warriors was to free the country from foreign slavery.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that as a result of long struggle, sacrifice and renunciation, India got independence on this day in 1947. The free environment in which every Indian is feeling the freedom is the result of the sacrifice, penance and sacrifice of the great sons and martyrs of Mother India. The country became enslaved due to conflicts and conspiracies, but it never accepted slavery from its mind and heart. There were struggles and movements against slavery in different areas of the country at different times. The first freedom struggle of 1857 was an important milestone in the collective effort for the independence of the country, when the flame of independence was seen burning in every village, district and province under the leadership of commanders like Mangal Pandey in Barrackpur, Rani Lakshmibai in Jhansi, Dhansingh Kotwal in Meerut etc. At that time everyone had only one feeling in their mind that we have to free the country from foreign slavery.
The results of the changes being made to make every person’s life easier and simpler are also visible.
The Chief Minister said that many of the problems of anarchy, illiteracy, backwardness and inequality that faced the country in 1947 have been solved in the last 8 decades. The result of this is that 25 crore people have been freed from multidimensional poverty in the country. The scope of education has increased and every section of the society has started getting the benefits of governance without discrimination. World class infrastructure facilities have been developed. The results of the changes made to make every person’s life easier and simpler are also visible now.
We have to be cautious of the forces that weaken the country
The CM also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to the countrymen. Said that if we want to achieve victory over anarchy, inequality and illiteracy, we will have to be cautious of the forces that weaken the country. The PM had said that if we work by focusing on only four castes in the country (poor, youth, women, farmers), then good results will come. In the last 12 years, plans were made keeping these four sections in mind. The government’s willpower was also visible to implement this action plan, the result of which was that it helped the common people to connect with the government’s plan. The work of providing 100 percent benefits of government schemes was done through the Director Benefit Scheme. New platforms were made available and institutions were created so that the youth could prepare themselves according to the mission, employment and modern technology. For good health facilities, a new series of medical colleges and AIIMS were established in the country and modern infrastructure was developed. Railway connectivity increased, modern facilities like metro and rapid rail became available. Efforts were increased to provide excellent public transport facilities with modern world class facilities like Amrit Bharat, Vande Bharat, Namo Bharat.
India moved forward in setting new paradigms in every field
The Chief Minister said that India has moved forward in setting new paradigms in every field. When the country has successful leadership and the strength of the country speaks in one voice along with the collective then results emerge. The country’s freedom struggle also attracts attention, when we were divided, there was a struggle for freedom. Maharana Pratap in Rajasthan, Guru Gobind Singh from Punjab and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Maharashtra provided leadership to it. Everyone had the same objective to get freedom from foreign slavery at any cost, but a collective effort was seen in 1857. After this, to keep the struggle alive, the revolutionaries gave rise to struggles in different areas. The struggle like Chaurichaura in Gorakhpur, Kakori train action in Lucknow etc. continued to grow continuously.
Salute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country’s border/internal security
CM Yogi said that the country is remembering the brave martyrs and revolutionaries of Mother India who carried forward the freedom struggle. CM also expressed his respect for Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose etc. The CM also paid tribute to the revolutionaries who laughingly kissed the noose for independence and the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country’s border/internal security in independent India.
Chief Minister also remembered the sacrifice of Kirti Chakra awarded Inspector Sunil Kumar.
Chief Minister Yogi said that today is an important day for Uttar Pradesh Police. Brave Inspector Sunil Kumar of Uttar Pradesh Police has received the Kirti Chakra. He also paid humble tribute to Inspector Sunil Kumar, who sacrificed his life for enhancing the resolve to establish law and order in Uttar Pradesh and effectively implement the policies of zero tolerance towards crime and criminals. The CM also congratulated other officers and personnel of Uttar Pradesh who received the President’s Bravery Award. The CM expressed hope that if we carry forward the chain of efforts towards achieving the goal of a self-reliant and developed India in our respective areas, then we will be successful in carrying forward India’s journey till eternity in a more successful manner.
