Independence Day: 1.40 crore council children saluted the tricolor | News India

Lucknow, 15 August (HS). Under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath government, the Basic Education Department celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm on Thursday. The message of Basic Education Minister (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh was read out in the program organized at the Basic Education Directorate in Lucknow. Here, more than 1.40 crore council teachers and children of the state saluted the tricolor. Cultural programs and sports competitions were held at various places.

After the flag hoisting by the director at the Basic Education Directorate campus in Lucknow, the message of Basic Education Minister (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh was read out. In the message, he said that today we are living in independent India due to the valour, courage, sacrifice, self-denial and patriotism in the freedom fighters and the struggles undertaken by them to free Mother India from bondage. The great festival of Independence Day is inspiring us to be 'patriotic and dutiful.'

On Independence Day, the Director, Basic Education hoisted the flag at the Directorate of Basic Education, Lucknow. A pledge was taken to build a 'developed India' on the concept of 'developed Uttar Pradesh'. During this, the Basic Director said, 'The Basic Education Department will achieve the universality of quality education. We will all continue to contribute to the sustainable progress of the state and the country through social justice and equality, scientific advancement, national integration and cultural preservation on the global platform.' Tree plantation took place after the flag hoisting at the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Lucknow campus. Through this initiative, emphasis was laid on 'developed Uttar Pradesh-developed India' with the pledge to keep the creation intact. This program was a reflection of commitment towards environmental protection and development. In the programs held here, emphasis was laid on duty and dedication. Sympathy towards the fighters was described as a true tribute.

On the other hand, Independence Day was celebrated with great fervour in all the districts of the state. Under the guidance of Basic Education Minister (Independent Charge) of Yogi Government Sandeep Singh and under the guidance of departmental officers, more than 1.40 crore children and teachers of all council schools of the state saluted the tricolor.

On this occasion, a grand tricolor procession was taken out by the Basic Education Department, Basti with the help of students, teachers and scout team with a 100 meter long tricolor. This procession was organized to show respect for the tricolor, the symbol of independence, and to express the feeling of patriotism. Patriotic songs echoed in the streets of rural and urban areas of Barabanki district.
