A case has come to light where a class 8 student was made to work illegally for 104 days and paid Rs 26520. 8th class students have been made to work as laborers in TCB, Prime Minister's residence and construction of irrigation wells. In this regard, Block Development Officer Varun Kumar has said that the matter will be investigated and action will be taken.
According to the Aadhaar card, Urmila Kumari, a class 8 student born on January 1, 2008 (father Jagdhari Yadav, Village Jhumri, Post-Udaipura-2), has been employed as a laborer under MNREGA from February 6, 2023 to February 2024. At the time when student Urmila's MNREGA job card was made, she was 15 years old and studying in class 8. Presently she is a student of 9th class. The student was shown working as a laborer in different schemes for more than a year and then illegal payments were made in her name.
Wages made under these schemes
Student Urmila has been employed as a laborer in TCB construction in the field of Budhani Devi in Jhumri village under scheme number 3405 006020/IF 7080 9013011179. Under this scheme, Urmila has been paid Rs 3060 on 30 March 2024. Similarly, Urmila is shown constructing TCB in Ranjan Yadav's field. Under this scheme, Urmila has been paid Rs 1530. Urmila was found working as a laborer in the construction of Mahendra Yadav's irrigation well. Here he has been paid Rs 3060. He has also worked as a MNREGA laborer in the PM Awas Yojana. Urmila worked as a laborer for TCB construction in Binda Yadav's farm from October 10, 2023 to December 2023, for which she was paid Rs 2550 for 10 days' wages. Similarly, after 12 days' wages, Rs 3060 was paid and again for 12 days' wages, Rs 3060 was paid.
In Goindi Panchayat area, before making a minor girl a labourer, illegal payment was made in the name of a jail inmate and a dead person. In this case, an FIR was lodged against the head, employment servant and Panchayat Secretary by the then BDO Sachchidanand Mahato. Even after this there was no improvement in the working style of the Panchayat agency.
Student's family not aware
When Ramesh Yadav, a member of the student's family, was asked, he told that his sister is a ninth class student and there is no information about how the job card for labor under MNREGA was made in her name and how the money was withdrawn. . We came to know when the construction work of TCB was going on in the field of Budhni Devi, in which the wage amount of Rs 3060 was sent to the account of Urmila Kumari from her job card. After this, demand for that money was made by the concerned contractor. Then they came to know that a job card had been made in Urmila's name.
