During this innings, he has destroyed the record of former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly. Left-handed batsman Yashasvi has now become the highest run-scorer for India in a Test series. Yashasvi Jaiswal now has a total of 545 runs in his name in this five-match Test series against England.
Earlier, the highest run scorer in a series was left-handed batsman Sourav Ganguly, who scored 534 runs in the home series against Pakistan in 2007. Former left-handed batsman Gautam Gambhir is now at third place in this list. Gautam Gambhir scored 463 runs in the home series against Australia in 2008.
