India's star all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has registered a big record in his name in the fourth match of the five-Test series between India and England starting today in Ranchi.
Ravichandran Ashwin today completed his century of Test wickets against England by dismissing Jonny Bairstow. He has become the first Indian bowler to achieve this feat.
Ashwin has so far taken 12 wickets in the first four matches of this five-match series. Ravichandran Ashwin has taken 100 wickets in 23 matches against England since 2012. The record for taking the most wickets in the match between the two countries so far is in the name of James Anderson, who has taken 145 wickets in 37 Test matches.
So far in the Ranchi Test match, Ashwin has taken one wicket for 31 runs in seven overs. The visiting team has scored 132 runs after losing five wickets.
