Kanpur, 29 February (HS). The production and area of spice crops is continuously increasing in Uttar Pradesh. This information was given by Dr. Ram Batuk Singh, Head of the Vegetable Section of Chandrashekhar Azad Agriculture and Technology University, Kanpur, in a one-day seminar on spice value addition and production organized in Aurangabad village of Kanpur on Thursday.
He told that in the field of production of spice crops in the state, farmers are making best efforts by scientists by using new varieties and agricultural techniques developed by the university.
On this occasion, agricultural scientist Dr. Arun Kumar Singh appealed to the farmers to adopt the agricultural techniques suggested by the scientists. Due to which they become independent and self-reliant. Dr. Shashikant, scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, gave detailed information about the achievements of Krishi Vigyan Kendra. Dr Singh highlighted the techniques of co-cropping farming with spices and said that co-cropping farming will bring more profits to the farmers.
Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sachan of the department explained the scientific methods of garlic and onion cultivation. He has appealed to the farmers to cultivate onion and garlic in maximum area. Dr. Pranjal Singh also informed the farmers
On this occasion, about a hundred farmers including progressive farmers Chhunna Singh, Charan Singh, Raju Rajput, Ashok Kumar were present.
