Teams are matching documents to reveal tax evasion worth several hundred crores of rupees.Hamirpur, 04 December (Hindustan Reporter). Many teams of the Income Tax Department are currently engaged in matching and investigating the documents to uncover tax evasion worth several hundred crores of rupees in Rimjhim Ispat Limited Company of Industrial City in Hamirpur district. Although production has started in the company on Wednesday as soon as half the team of the department returned, many teams are still camping in the factory. The directors and managers of the company are in tension due to the increasing scope of investigation by the Income Tax Department.
Rimjhim Ispat Limited Company has been operating in the industrial city of Sumerpur town of Hamirpur district for the last several decades. Which often remains in the headlines due to many accidents. This factory was raided by the Income Tax Department team from Lucknow late last Wednesday night on the tip of tax evasion worth several hundred crores of rupees. Many teams were involved in the raid. The officials of the teams took control of the entire factory and searched the records for several days continuously. After Lucknow, Income Tax Department teams from Delhi also came here and raided Rimjhim Ispat Limited Company for data recovery. During the raid, a director dodged the team and escaped. Another director and managers of the company were interrogated by the officials of the teams in several separate rounds. The teams camped in the company for seven consecutive days and investigated. During the raid, the team seized a huge amount of documents and other papers due to which the teams are still busy in exposing the big game of tax evasion.
Half the IT team returned, half the team kept scanning the records. Half the teams of Income Tax Department kept checking the documents till the sixth day to reveal the tax evasion worth crores of rupees in Rimjhim Ispat Limited Company. Later, half the team traveling in five cars returned from here but the other half of the Income Tax Department team remained in the factory and collated the recovered documents. Six days later, as soon as a team left, production at the Rimjhim Steel Factory was resumed.
Raid that lasted for 144 hours brought production to a halt in Rimjhim Ispat. The Income Tax Department team had raided Rimjhim Ispat factory at 11 pm on 27th November. Many teams camped in the factory for 144 hours continuously and kept scanning the records. On the sixth day, the teams left from here after collecting huge amount of documents, records along with laptops etc. There are discussions that Income Tax Department teams have detected tax evasion worth crores of rupees, which may be revealed soon.
Efforts to bring production back on track at Rimjhim Ispat started. Manoj Kumar Gupta, manager of Rimjhim Ispat Factory, said that the team’s investigation is ongoing. It was not clear what flaws were found. Only after investigation will it become clear what the team has caught. Efforts have now been started to bring the factory production into routine. Soon it will be back on track. Told that the factory director has not yet returned. Let us tell you that during the raid, the director had absconded after impressing the team.
