Sawan Somvar Puja: In Hinduism, Mahadev, the God of Gods, is known as a god who is easily pleased. This is the reason why none of his devotees ever remain disappointed. The third Monday of Sawan is considered the most auspicious and fruitful for the worship of Mahadev, who is called the God of Gods. It is believed that Lord Shiva's full blessings are showered on this holy festival. If Mahadev is worshipped with proper rituals and Lord Shiva's favorite things are offered to him, then all the wishes of the person are fulfilled soon.

Rudraksh

It is believed that Rudraksha, also known as Mahadev's garland, is considered to be the great offering of Lord Shiva. It originated from the tears of Lord Shiva. By offering it in the worship of Sawan Monday and accepting it as prasad, a person gets all kinds of happiness. Rudraksha of different shapes are related not only to other gods and goddesses but also to the nine planets. In such a situation, by using it in Shiva worship, one gets the blessings of these as well as Shiva.

Lord Shiva loves Bel Patra very much. It is believed that by offering it in Shiva Puja, Shiva devotees receive his blessings soon. In the Sanatan tradition, one of the three leaves of Bel Patra is considered a symbol of Rajoguna, the second is Sattva and the third is Tamoguna. In such a situation, by offering Bel Patra, the devotee gets all kinds of happiness and wealth by the grace of Mahadev. While offering it in Shiva Puja, its stalk should be broken and offered upside down.

Milk and Yogurt

It is believed that by offering milk to Lord Shiva on Sawan Monday, a person attains good health, while by offering curd, there is always happiness and prosperity in the life of the Shiva devotee.

Bhasma has great religious significance in the worship of Lord Shiva. Bhasma is considered to be Shiva's clothing, which he keeps wrapped around his entire body. It is believed that the universe ultimately transforms into the same ash that Mahadev wears on his body. One day this entire universe merges into Lord Shiva in the form of ash. It is believed that by offering ash to Lord Shiva on Sawan Monday, all the sins of a person are destroyed.

On the third Monday of Sawan, offering Rudraksha, Bhasm etc. in Shiva Puja brings different fruits. For example, offering honey brings sweetness and beauty in speech, offering ghee brings sharpness, offering sugar brings happiness and prosperity, offering sandalwood brings fame, offering Amla brings long life, offering sugarcane juice brings wealth, offering wheat brings capable children, offering rice brings happiness and wealth, etc.
