It is extremely cold in North India. The temperature is falling in other states including Rajasthan. In some districts of Rajasthan the temperature has reached below 10 degrees. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding fog.
While the cold is increasing in North India, an alert of heavy rain has been issued in many states of South India.

The pressure in the South West Bay of Bengal can turn into a storm within a few hours. The cyclone may move north-westwards and reach Tamil Nadu coast by November 30.

The mercury continues to fall in Rajasthan’s hill station Mount Abu. The temperature here has reached 6.8 degrees. The coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry have been receiving heavy rains since Tuesday.

Due to continuous rains, schools and colleges in Puducherry have been instructed to remain closed. Puducherry Education Minister Arumugam Namasivayam gave this information.

Cyclone Fungal may cause heavy rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Whereas strong winds may blow in coastal areas. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram and Cuddalore districts of Tamil Nadu.

The Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to go into the sea. Some flights were also affected due to bad weather in Tamil Nadu.

The coldest night of this season was recorded in Srinagar and other places in Kashmir. The temperature in Srinagar was recorded at minus 2.1 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Nakazhigund was recorded below minus 3 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature was recorded at minus five degrees Celsius at Pahalgam tourist spot. It is noteworthy that Pahalgam is the base camp of the annual Amarnath Yatra.
