Lok Sabha Elections 2024: There is a village in Baijnath of Himachal which is the most beautiful village of the state which takes 3 to 4 days to reach. The Election Commission has made special arrangements for voting in this village named Bada Bhangal and voting machines are being sent by helicopter.
Voting for four phases of Lok Sabha elections has been completed and campaigning for the remaining three phases is going on in full swing. From candidates to star campaigners and leaders are campaigning from door to door to seek votes. Amidst all this, there is a village in Himachal Pradesh where till date no leader has come to ask for votes. This village is in Baijnath of Himachal Pradesh, whose name is Bada Bhangal.
EVM machines will be sent by helicopter to about 159 voters living in the village. Till date, no leader has come to Bhangal, a very remote area of Baijnath, to campaign or ask for votes. The reason for this is the difficult and inaccessible roads to reach here. It takes 3 to 4 days to reach Bada Bhangal village on foot.
Dhumal arrived for the first time in 2011
For the first time in the year 2011, the then Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, the then Wool Federation President Trilok Kapoor reached Bada Bhangal Panchayat by helicopter and addressed the people. After that, for the first time in 2018, the then Baijnath MLA Mulkh Raj Premi had traveled to Bada Bhangal by helicopter. However, till now no leader has come to campaign at the time of voting.
The district administration has already sent a polling team to facilitate 159 voters currently living in Bara Bhangal, the most remote panchayat of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, to vote in the Lok Sabha elections. The system has completed all preparations for the elections there.
