Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya today held a review meeting with officials of the Rural Development Department at Maa Shitala Guest House, Sayara in Kaushambi district and reviewed in detail the progress of various development schemes being run in the district. During the meeting, he laid special emphasis on ensuring effective implementation, transparency and timeliness of government schemes running in rural areas.
While directing the officers, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the benefits of the schemes run by the Central and State Government should reach the eligible beneficiaries on time and with complete transparency. He said that the schemes of Rural Development Department play an important role in strengthening the rural economy and overall development of villages, hence no negligence in their implementation will be accepted. In the meeting, he received information about the progress of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), Ji Ram Ji, activities of self-help groups, construction of rural roads and other development works. Besides, instructions were given to the officers that the pending works should be completed soon on priority basis and regular monitoring of the schemes should be ensured. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is to make villages self-reliant, prosperous and developed.
For this, all the departments will have to work in mutual coordination and implement the schemes effectively on the ground. He also instructed the officers to pay special attention to quick resolution of public problems and maintaining quality in development works.
Senior officers of Rural Development Department, district level officers and employees of related departments were present in the meeting.
