News India Live, Digital Desk:The fierce war that broke out between America and Iran has increased the tension of the entire world. Due to tension in West Asia, the world’s most important sea waterway ‘Strait of Hormuz’ is almost closed. Oil and gas are supplied across the world through this route. Due to its stoppage, a huge fuel crisis is looming in many countries. Meanwhile, Iran has made a move which has given sleepless nights to the western countries. Iran is now trying to completely tighten its grip on this major waterway and is making a big plan in collaboration with a Muslim country.

Joint monitoring plan with Oman

Quoting sources and Iranian officials, it is reported that Iran is drafting a special proposal to monitor the ‘Strait of Hormuz’. A top Iranian diplomat has made it clear that his country is planning to monitor this waterway in collaboration with Oman. Iran claims that the purpose of this step is to make the sea route safe for the movement of ships. However, the reality is that there are continuous attacks on ships in this area and huge amounts of money are being demanded for safe passage, due to which the speed of merchant ships has slowed down.

No-entry for western countries, Indian ships get big discount

In the current situation, the movement of ships through this international sea route has come to a complete standstill. Iran has bluntly warned that it will not allow the ships of America and its ally Western countries to pass through this route at all. However, it is a matter of great relief for India on the diplomatic front that Iran has not imposed any such restrictions on Indian ships. Iranian officials have shown aggressive attitude and made it clear that peacetime rules cannot be applied during war and the attacks on ships are a direct result of Western countries’ aggression against Iran.

India raised its voice on the international platform

To resolve this terrible crisis arising in the Strait of Hormuz, a high level meeting of more than 60 countries was called in Britain. In this meeting, the Foreign Secretary of India joined virtually and expressed his stand strongly. India stressed the principles of securing global trade routes and unimpeded movement of ships. The Indian side reminded the international community that India was the only country to lose the lives of its sailors in attacks on merchant ships in the Gulf during this war. Regarding the serious threat looming on energy security, India has made it clear that diplomacy and dialogue are the only and most effective way to reduce tension.
