Jalaun, 13 November (Hindustan Reporter). The District Sessions Court in Jalaun has sentenced three people, including a woman, to 20-20 years of imprisonment in the kidnapping and POCSO Act case. The judge pronounced the verdict after the charges were proved on the basis of evidence and also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand on the accused. Non-payment of fine will result in additional punishment. The decision in the matter has come after 17 months.
Giving information in this matter, the government advocate said that a mother resident of a village in the Et police station area had given a complaint to the police on June 4, 2023. He had told that on March 28, 2023, his minor 17-year-old daughter was lured by Dolu alias Manvendra and Devendra and taken away with them. While he was assisted by Devendra’s wife Lakshmi. After this, the police had registered a case under the sections of kidnapping and POCSO Act. This matter was pending in the court. The hearing of the case was completed on Wednesday. After the charges were proved on the basis of witnesses and evidence, Special Judge POCSO Act Mohammad Qamar, while giving the verdict, sentenced the three culprits to 20-20 years of rigorous imprisonment. Besides, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand. If the fine is not paid, the culprits will have to face additional punishment.
