Nepal Politics: Political turmoil is being witnessed once again in India's neighboring country Nepal. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda's 'Prachanda' chair has been shaken by making the alliance a matter of overnight. This is the 13th time in 16 years that a government has fallen.
Prachanda is not ready to resign from the post of Prime Minister
This huge government had the support of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) i.e. CPN-UML. However, Oli's party has now withdrawn support from the huge government. And now there is an alliance between CPN-UML and Nepali Congress. However, Prachanda is not ready to resign from the post of Prime Minister. Also, he says that he (Pushpa Kamal Dahal) will face a vote of confidence in Parliament. According to the Constitution of Nepal, the Prime Minister has to get a vote of confidence within 30 days.
The Deuba government was running with the support of Prachanda
It is worth noting that in March this year, Nepal's Prime Minister Prachanda had supported Sher Bahadur Deuba's party from outside. Deuba's party was running with huge support. But after ruling for 15 months, this government fell. In March, Oli's party was included in the government in alliance with CPN-UML by ousting Deuba's party.
An alliance was formed after playing games all night long
Now Sher Bahadur Deuba's Nepali Congress has formed an alliance with KP Sharma Oli's CPN-UML after playing all night. A political agreement has also been reached between the two parties. Now either Deuba or Oli can become the Prime Minister one after the other or together. According to information received from sources, first KP Sharma Oli will become the Prime Minister and after him Deuba will take over this post. However, no official announcement has been made yet.
