Prayagraj, 10 September (HS). Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel inaugurated the seventh convocation ceremony organized at Prof. Rajendra Singh “Rajju Bhaiya” University on Tuesday. She distributed school bags and other gift items to the children of primary schools and provided sports equipment and Anganwadi kits to the workers of Anganwadi centers. The Governor honored the children who performed excellently in the competitions held in various schools by giving them certificates. Along with this, the principals who did good work in various schools were also honored.
On this occasion, a total of 155 medals were awarded to 151 students and degrees were given to 1,15,827 students of various graduate, post-graduate and professional courses. The Governor said that the percentage of girl students getting medals is more than double, which shows the hard work and strong willpower of the daughters. Addressing the people present, he said that it gives me immense pleasure to be present amidst you all in the 7th convocation of Prof. Rajendra Singh (Raju Bhaiya) University, situated on the holy banks of Sangam and in the pilgrim city of Prayagraj.
He said that mothers play a special role in inculcating values in children. Mothers nurture children with their experience and play an important role in inculcating values in children. Mothers should be respected the most. He said that children's values, culture, behavior, language should be good, only then this medal will have any value. He said that we study so that we first become good citizens and human beings and try to make others good human beings as well. He said that whatever budget is being received from the central and state government for the university, it should be used for the welfare of children. Budget is provided by the central government, state government as well as UGC.
The Governor said that the real purpose of higher education will be considered meaningful only when the women of this country are empowered. Higher education not only provides knowledge and skills to women, but also gives them an opportunity to become self-reliant and be aware of their rights. Educated women have the ability to take better decisions and can bring positive changes in their family and society.
On this occasion, the chief guest A.S. Kiran Kumar said that we should become patient, responsible, sensitive and respectful like Rajju Bhaiya. Following his path, we should consider the nation as supreme. Our motto should be that the nation should be supreme for us, then society, then family and the individual.
On this occasion, Minister, Higher Education Department, Yogendra Upadhyay said that a total of 780 colleges of Kaushambi, Pratapgarh and Fatehpur are affiliated to this university. At present, 27 departments are operating under about 6 faculties. An important change has been made in the field of higher education by marking multiple entry and multiple development. The best thing in this is that the arrangement of autonomous institutions has been made on the basis of quality.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Higher Education, Smt. Rajni Tiwari said that I am feeling happy to attend the 7th convocation of “Rajju Bhaiya” University. She said that Nelson Mandela has said that education is such a weapon which has the power to change the world. The Central Government has pledged to provide employment in the form of education. Under the guidance of the Governor and the leadership of the Chief Minister, the State Government is doing better work in the field of education. The new education policy-2020 is employment oriented, which includes everything from skill development to technology, technical knowledge, under which there has been a special change in the teaching-learning process. She said that I am confident that with the implementation of the new education policy, more and more youth of the state will get employment.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Singh, gave detailed information about the ongoing programs in the university and the progress of the university. On this occasion, MLA Rajmani Kol, Legislative Council member Surendra Chaudhary, Dr. KP Srivastava, senior administrative officers, as well as professors of the university and the students who received the degree were present.
