In Sangli, three including father and son died, one burnt due to electrocution by a wire that had fallen in a field | News India

Mumbai, 29 September (HS). Three people of a family died due to electric shock in Mhaisal village of Miraj tehsil of Sangli district on Sunday. Another person got burnt in this incident and has been admitted to the hospital. On receiving information about the incident, Miraj Rural Police officials visited the spot. Police have sent the bodies to the government hospital for post-mortem.

According to the police, Parasnath had gone to Vanmore farm in Mhaisal village on Sunday. An electric wire had fallen in his field. Electric current was flowing in this wire. Parasnath Vanamore (40) was the first to die after coming in contact with this wire. After this, his son Shahiraj (12) and nephew Pradeep Wanamore (35), who went to search for Parasnath, also died due to electrocution, while another person Hemant Wanamore (25) got burnt. Injured Hemant has been admitted to the hospital. As soon as information about this incident was received, mourning spread in the village. Police have sent the three bodies for post-mortem after investigation.
