An obscene video of a JE posted at the sub-centre of the Rural Electricity Distribution Division with a woman is going viral. It is being told that the woman's bill was outstanding and the JE was threatening to disconnect the connection. During this time, JE kept coming and going to the woman's house and kept demanding sex in exchange for waiving off the bill. Later the woman made a verbal complaint to the then Executive Engineer accusing the JE of harassment, but the matter was suppressed.

A new twist in the case came when the JE terminated the service of an SSO, who was said to be close to the woman, after making several allegations against him. After this the matter became heated. After the video went viral, a matter that was suppressed till now has come to light. In this regard, Executive Engineer Electricity Distribution Division Rural Aditya Bhushan Bharti said that the matter is under cognizance, but no complaint has been received yet. If the police takes action, departmental action will be taken against the person concerned.
