In Punjab, BJP will contest elections alone and not in alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal

Bharatiya Janata Party has announced to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections alone in Punjab. There has been no talk of alliance with Shiromani Akali Dal. Punjab BJP President Sunil Jakhar gave this information through a video message. Jakhar said that this decision has been taken on the basis of the opinion of the people of the state and party workers. Voting will be held on 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab on June 1.
