Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand is planning to give Rs 30 thousand annually to the women of the state. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, the ruling party in the state, has submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission requesting permission to implement 'JMM Samman Yojana' in the state. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has said that BJP has proposed to start 'Gogo Didi Scheme' in Jharkhand, under which women will be given Rs 25,000 annually. JMM has said that if the Commission feels that the plan proposed by BJP is not illegal then it should approve our plan also.
What is JMM's plan?
Actually, Hemant Soren's JMM government is trying to implement JMM Samman Yojana. For this, the party has also submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha government has promised to provide financial assistance of Rs 2500 per month or Rs 30 thousand annually to women under this scheme.
Memorandum to the Election Commission
Regarding JMM Samman Yojana, party general secretary Vinod Kumar Pandey said that we have submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission for approval to implement our proposed scheme. According to the press note issued on May 2, this scheme cannot be implemented without the permission of the Commission. He said that if the Commission feels that BJP's proposed plan is not illegal then it should also approve JMM's plan.
JMM accused BJP
JMM alleged that a form was issued by BJP. In which applicants are invited to register under Gogo Didi Scheme. In this form, name, address, mobile number, panchayat, block, district name and other details are asked from the people. According to JMM, the scheme promises to give Rs 2,100 to every woman on the 11th of every month and Rs 25,000 every year.
