Mumbai, 09 October (Hindustan Reporter). After the defeat of Congress in Haryana, Shiv Sena UBT in Maharashtra has challenged the Congress and said that if they want then they should contest the elections alone here also. Shiv Sena UBT leader Sanjay Raut said that if Congress had given importance to other like-minded parties in Haryana, the results would have been different. Raut has also congratulated BJP on the victory of Haryana.
Sanjay Raut told reporters on Wednesday morning that the Congress Party in Haryana had not formed an alliance with any like-minded party. Many independents were also in the fray. Congress had to suffer the consequences of this. However, Congress remained only 9 seats short of majority. BJP's strategy in Haryana elections was very good and they got results from it. The one who won is Alexander, so they congratulate BJP. Sanjay Raut said that a lot has been learned from Haryana elections.
Sanjay Raut said that Mahavikas Aghadi India had fought together in the Lok Sabha elections, that is why the results were better. Taking a dig at Congress, Raut said that where they are strong, they do not give importance to anyone and where they are weak, they fight elections together. There is no big or small in Mahavikas Aghadi. If Congress feels like it, they can contest separate elections. Sanjay Raut today again reiterated the issue of announcing the future Chief Minister before the elections. He said that Omar Abdullah was the face in Jammu and Kashmir elections, people voted for him. Sanjay Raut also said that Haryana will not be repeated in Maharashtra. The reason for this is that Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar are in strong positions in Maharashtra.
