In Lucknow’s Para, a girl was brutally beaten for protesting against expired cosmetic products: she was taken hostage in the shop, beaten, pulled her hair and made her fall on the ground.



A shocking case of selling expired cosmetic items in the name of discount has come to light in Para police station area of ​​the capital Lucknow. On July 18, at around 7:30 pm, a girl resident of Para had gone to a cosmetic store with her friend for shopping. Heavy discounts were being given on products at the shop. While looking through the goods, the girl noticed the products and hair mask, where the expiry date labels were allegedly tampered with. Shop owner got angry on protesting, informed on 112. As soon as the issue of selling of expired goods was exposed, the victim immediately protested against it and called the police helpline number 112 and lodged a complaint. The police spoke to the shop owner over the phone, due to which the agitated accused lost his temper. It is alleged that as soon as the call was disconnected, the shop owner started using abusive language with the girl and started misbehaving with her. When the victim started recording the video of the accused’s misdeeds, the shop owner instigated his employees. After this, the employees showed dominance and attacked the girl. The victim was thrown to the ground by her hair and her friend who came to intervene was also roughed up. Not only this, the bullies took both the girls hostage inside the shop and also snatched their mobile phones. Police reached the spot and freed them, case registered. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the team of Para police station reached the spot and safely rescued the two girls trapped in the shop. The police got the girl’s mobile back from the possession of the accused party. According to Inspector-in-charge Suresh Singh, based on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against the accused shop owner under relevant sections. Police are investigating the entire matter and strict legal action will be taken based on the evidence collected.
