Mehsana: An incident has come to light in Mehsana district where a young man along with his two sons jumped into the Narmada canal to commit suicide. A father and a child have died in this incident. While a 4-year-old child has been saved by a passerby.

According to the details received in this regard, Bharat Bajaniya, a resident of Karannagar in Kadi and working in a private company, abandoned his two children Hitanshu (2 years) and Vihaan (4 years) in the Narmada canal passing through the border of Karannagar. Gaon Aaj.

Meanwhile, passersby passing by pulled out 4-year-old Vihaan from the water and saved his life. Whereas Bharat Bajania and son Hitanshu drowned in the deep water of the canal.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, the local swimmers and the Mehsana Fire Brigade team reached the spot. Where after a lot of effort, the bodies of the father and son were found. At present, the police have sent the bodies of both for post-mortem and are taking further legal action.

Initial investigation revealed that Bharatbhai was married about five years ago. He had two children from this marriage. However, there was a constant rift between Bharatbhai and his wife for the last few years. Therefore, the husband and wife got divorced four months ago. Since then Bharatbhai was under constant stress. Yesterday evening Bharatbhai took the children with him and asked them to go to get medicine. After which he was thrown into the canal. At present, the police have conducted further investigation including recording the statements of family members to find out the real reason for the suicide.
