Araria, 24 February (Hindustan Reporter). A smuggler was arrested with 390 bottles of Nepali liquor in a joint action of Phulkaha police and SSB on Saturday morning in Manikpur village near India Nepal demarcation pillar number 188/3 under Phulkaha police station area of the district.
A joint raid was conducted under the leadership of SSB BOP Camp Inspector Harbans Lal and Phulkaha Police Station Head Amit Kumar. During the operation, the smuggler's motorcycle was also seized. The arrested smuggler is Pramod Mahato, resident of ward number 15 of Manikpur Panchayat of Phulkaha police station area. SSB and Phulkaha police station acted on secret information in Manikpur village. The arrested liquor smuggler was brought to Phulkaha police station after medical examination at Narpatganj Community Health Centre.
Phulkaha Police Station Head Amit Kumar said that after medical examination of the arrested liquor smuggler, he has been sent to Araria in judicial custody.
